72005 'Clan MacGregor' passing Princes Street Gardens Edinburgh on the 4th August 1962. Look at that immaculate ballast, and on the original slide you can see that the black object on the cab roof is a forgotten oil can! Was the roof shutter sticking? Did it stay up there all the way to Carstairs or Glasgow or is it still lying where it fell, on an embankment somewhere, to this day? Photo: K. Falconer
